We know that you may have questions about this campus and college life. There are many resources available to your student and to you, including the college staff.
It is important for you to know that, while we will happily support and provide assistance for your student, their college experience is ultimately shaped by the choices and decisions they make. We strongly encourage questions, and exploration of new opportunities, including meeting new and different people and making the most of what the campus has to offer.
Your student’s academic and social transition to UC Santa Cruz is extremely important to us, and we all work together to support them. Therefore, we ask you to encourage them to actively participate in the many programs and services that are available (beginning with move-in and Welcome Week). Encourage them to make connections from the start!
We expect them to start participating in required activities on their move-in date.
