Family members and supporters play a critical role in helping students transition to university life. Getting admitted is only the beginning.

Students are expected to do a lot of work during the summer- specifically between May to September. Remind your student to:

Regularly check their UC Email	Regularly (2 or 3 times a week)
Complete all To Do items	By the deadline
Meet Immunization Requirements	While you are home during the summer!
Complete Orientation Course	Required; Meet all deadlines
Prepare for move-in	- Follow your college’s instructions (sent in early August) - Start thinking about What to Bring (there are space limitations) and What NOT to Bring
Attend Welcome Week	Mandatory participation for students
